Amsterdam, The Netherlands, December 2nd. Game Entertainment Europe and Kalicanthus Entertainment announce today that the Beta version of Hovorun, Europe’s first casual online multiplayer racing game, has been officially launched in Italy.
During the Leipzig Game Conference last summer Kalicanthus and Game Entertainment signed a partner agreement for Hovorun and Martial Heroes currently having 800.000 subscribers from Europe. Kalicanthus Entertainment, operator of the game portal www.kalicanthus.it, is the no. 1 Portal in Italy currently serving 200.000 users with game accounts. Kalicanthus Entertainment will arrange promotion, localization and support services for the Italian players of Hovorun.

The feedback from Italian players will help us to improve and localize our services for Hovorun Gamers” says Richard van Barneveld, CEO of Game Entertainment Europe.

Game Entertainment Europe has officially released the test version of Hovorun. The open beta is now freely available for gamers all over the world. The game is currently available in English and Dutch, and will soon be followed by versions in more European languages. Many new features will be added over the next few weeks and months.
Hovorun is a 3D casual racing game developed by the Korean game developer Lots Entertainment. The game is Free2Play: the game client installer can be downloaded for free from the website. Credits can be bought on the website to buy items in the game, like new characters, accessories and vehicles. The game has many interesting features such as a clan system, high scores tournaments, friends lists and in game chat.

Targeted to be launched in the 2nd quarter of 2008. Hovorun is a free2copy™ online game that will be available in 12 European languages and targets casual gamers aged between 8 to 28 years old.

Recently Richard van Barneveld (CEO) successfully participated the Quote elevator pitch contest, moderated by Jort Kelder and hosted by Sara in Amsterdam. The goal was to promote GEE in 1 ½ minute to gain interest from investors.
From the 15 other contestants the jury, including Jort Kelder, chief editor and founder of Quote Magazine, choose GEE as the winning company.
GEE won an article in Quote magazine (the May 2007 edition) and a video presentation of the pitch on the Quote website. Also company is able to spend a 3.000 euros at the several sponsors of the Elevator Pitch contest.

The open beta client of Martial Heroes Europe has been successfully launched. It is a totally improved new client for a world which is exclusively available for European gamers. Game Entertainment Europe already welcomed 130.000 new registries. The new world is called "Pandora". Together with Pandora a totally improved portal for Martial Heroes has been launched, www.martialheroes.eu.

Game Entertainment Europe (GEE), the first pan-European publisher of Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) Games, and SPILL GROUP, the largest game traffic generator in the world, signed a promotion contract which states that SPILL GROUP promotes the MMO Games published by GEE on all of their European portals and in return SPILL GROUP receives a revenue share. The contract is already effective, GEE's latest MMORP Game Martial Heroes can now be played through SPILL GROUP's European portals (f.i. : www.agame.com, www.spelletjes.nl, www.jeux.fr). The first results are excellent, after 4 weeks promotion in The Netherlands GEE's game Martial Heroes has 35.000 new registrations. Soon other online games will follow. |
